Springbok Travel Information

Springbok is the main centre of the Namaqualand, located approximately 600 kms north of Cape Town and 120 kms south of the Namibian border. Is lies directly at the N7, which links Cape Town and Windhoek (Namibia) and is the ideal place for an overnight stop. There are only small settlements further north with few facilities, whereas Springbok offers excellent hotels, guest houses, caravan parks, restaurants, supermarkets, service stations and even an airport. Springbok is also the perfect stop-over for a trip to the Richtersveld National Park.

Springbok is usually very crowded during the wildflower season in August and September. Advanced booking of accommodation is essential then.
