Hondeklip Bay
|
||||||||||||||||
Hondeklip Bay is still rather untouched by tourism. Here, you can find peace and tranquillity, go for wonderful walks, listen to the thundering of the ocean at the Hondeklip (dog-shaped boulder), engage in fishing or diving. The owners of the Honnehok Chalets also offer interesting 4 x 4 tours, for example to a diamond mine and the Spoeg River Caves, where it is believed that more than 2000 years ago the first cattle breeders of South Africa lived here. Accommodation If you don't feel like camping, your only option are the Honnehok Chalets. Because of their limited number and the long access drive, early booking is essential! Provisions Shopping in the village is very basic. One should do the grocery shopping in Springbok, before untertaking the long trip to Hondeklip Bay. The Honnehok Restaurant, however, offers some excellent seafood dishes, crayfish included. |
